Class A: dry or smouldering fires involving solid materials (wood, fabric, paper, cardboard, etc.).
- Class B: grease, liquid or liquefiable solid fires (hydrocarbons, alcohol, solvents, greases, oils, paints, etc.).
- class C: gas fires (propane, butane, methane, etc.).
